Chapter Headers
Using illustrated black and grey chapter headers can make a well-written novel even more special. You can start each chapter with an image that suits your story, or even have a different one for each chapter. I love making these!
Scene Breaks
These usually come with Chapter Headers, matching their theme, but some authors prefer simpicity, indicating changes in scene with simple, elegant illustrations.
Part Openers
These are used when a novel is broken up into different parts. They usually have a page to themselves, and can set the tone for what's to come in following chapters.
Maps
I've always believed that a fantasy novel isn't truly complete without a map to guide readers on their adventure. I love to infuse my own unique art style with the classic mapping techniques inspired by Tolkien. It brings a magical touch to the story and helps the readers truly immerse themselves in the world that the author has created.
